Joy Wang

Joy Wang, P.E., holds a degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Maryland College Park. Wang has diverse experience in civil engineering, having worked as a LEAF Outreach Intern at the University of Maryland, a Project Engineer at Bowman Consulting, and a Clean Rivers Intern at DC Water, among other roles. Notably, as a Data Center Civil Engineer at Amazon Web Services, Wang managed technical oversight for large-scale data center projects and developed design standards. Subsequent experience includes positions at Nitsch Engineering, where Wang contributed to the McIntire Expansion at the University of Virginia, and current employment at Meta. Wang has a strong background in sustainability and green infrastructure, demonstrated through internships focused on LEED certification and green practices.
