Julia Tanner

Julia Tanner is an accomplished mechanical engineer with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington and a Master of Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. Experience includes serving as Product Lead and Mechanical Design Engineer at UW Engineering Innovation in Health, where Julia designed the “Snooze Control” device for individuals with limited upper mobility. Julia interned at Illumina, focusing on systems integration and automation opportunities in reagent quality control, and contributed as an Undergrad Research Engineer at UW Medicine's CoRE lab. Currently, Julia holds positions as a Mechanical Test Engineer at Meta and as a Test Engineer III at Pinnacle Group, Inc., where responsibilities include testing wearable devices within the Reality Labs R&D department. Additional experience includes a mechanical engineering internship at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, emphasizing calibration and metrology.
