Julien Gregory Debussche

Julien Gregory Debussche has extensive legal experience, particularly in IT, data privacy, and regulatory matters. As a Guest Lecturer at the Academy of European Law ERA from September 2017 to April 2024, Julien shared expertise in IT, Data, and Privacy. Prior roles include Associate and Senior Associate at Bird & Bird LLP, where Julien focused on IT contracts, privacy and data protection, cybersecurity, intellectual property, and commercial law from September 2010 to December 2019. Julien briefly served as Associate General Counsel at Meta in 2024 and as Senior Managing Counsel and Senior Privacy Counsel at Booking.com from April 2020 to August 2021. Julien's career began at Delhaize Group, holding various positions from July 2004 to September 2010. Educational qualifications include a Master in Law from Université catholique de Louvain, a Summer School Certificate in Law & Business from Tongji University, and an International Bachelor from the International School of Brussels and the International School of Bangkok.
