Junzi Dong

Junzi Dong, Ph.D., is a Machine Learning Engineer at Meta since October 2022, focusing on privacy-preserving ad ranking models. Prior to this role, Junzi Dong was a Research Scientist at Philips from January 2017 to October 2022, where significant contributions included developing machine learning models to predict patient deterioration in ICUs. Junzi Dong also served as a PhD Candidate in Biomedical Engineering at Boston University, completing a dissertation on reconstructing auditory signals from neural spikes, and received the Graduate Student Teacher of the Year award for excellence in teaching as a Teaching Assistant. Junzi Dong's academic background includes a Doctor of Philosophy degree from Boston University and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis.
