Kai Liau is an experienced mechanical engineer and product design engineer with a strong background in mechanical development, project management, and cross-functional team leadership. Liau began a career at Aerospace Applications, Inc. as a Stress Analyst, followed by a role as a Mechanical Engineer at BioElectroMed, where new bioelectric devices were designed and prototyped. Liau's tenure at Flextronics included serving as both a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer and Technical Program Manager, contributing to award-winning Lenovo ThinkStations. Subsequent positions included Project Manager at Magnadyne Corporation and HTC America Innovation, before transitioning to Garmin International as a Senior Mechanical Engineer, leading mechanical development for outdoor and automotive products. Currently, Liau holds the position of Product Design Engineer at Meta. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from National Taiwan University.
