Kaiyan Li is an accomplished researcher with experience in various academic and industrial settings. Beginning as a Research Assistant at Xidian University from November 2017 to April 2019, Kaiyan developed a deep learning-based framework to enhance hyperspectral image resolution. Subsequently, Kaiyan continued research at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, focusing on medical image registration, before joining the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign as a Research Assistant in the Computational Imaging Science Laboratory from August 2019 until July 2024, culminating in a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Computational Imaging. Currently, Kaiyan serves as a Research Scientist at Meta, where efforts are directed towards developing an industry-leading RAG solution to enhance AI agents' access to unstructured data.
