Kong Boon Yeap is an accomplished engineer with a strong background in materials science and reliability engineering. With experience spanning over 15 years, Kong began as a Process Engineering Intern at Agilent Technologies before advancing to a Materials Scientist role at Fraunhofer IZFP, focusing on mechanical testing in microelectronics. Kong continued a successful career at GLOBALFOUNDRIES, specializing in reliability across advanced technology nodes, before joining Apple as a Senior Reliability Engineer for both Mac and wearable devices. Currently serving as a Staff Reliability Engineer at Meta, Kong leads reliability efforts for wrist wearables. Kong holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Materials Sciences and Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and a Ph.D. in Mechanics of Materials from the National University of Singapore.
