Kyle Michel

Kyle Michel is a seasoned professional in materials science and engineering, with a strong focus on data informatics and machine learning. As a co-founder and CTO at Citrine Informatics from January 2013 to April 2018, Kyle contributed to advancements for materials and chemicals companies. Prior to this, Kyle gained valuable experience as a graduate student researcher at UCLA, specializing in scientific computing for energy storage, and later served as a postdoctoral researcher at Northwestern University, developing methods in high-performance computing for materials science. Following tenure at Nike as a lead software engineer for enterprise streaming platforms from April 2018 to March 2021, Kyle has been working as a software engineer at Meta since April 2021. Kyle holds a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from UCLA and a BS in Engineering Physics from the University of California, Berkeley.
