Facebook was founded in 2004, initially as a community for colleges and universities. Instagram was acquired by Facebook in 2012. Instagram Feed, Stories, Reels, Video, Live, Shops, and messaging are places where people and creators can express themselves and push culture forward through photos, video, and private messaging, and connect with and shop from their favorite businesses. Meta has two messaging apps: Messenger and WhatApp. Messenger allows chat, audio and video calls, and Rooms, while WhatsApp is best known as a secure messaging application facilitating private communication.
