Lana Sun

Lana Sun is a highly experienced professional in the field of technical art and animation, with a background that includes key roles at leading companies in the industry. As a Tech Lead Manager at TikTok, Lana focused on the analysis, design, and development of AR effects and prototypes while providing creative leadership for the avatar system. At DreamWorks Animation, Lana served as an Effects Artist from September 2010 to January 2015. Subsequently, Lana joined Meta as a Technical Art Manager in June 2022, supporting research tech artists and 3D artists in generating synthetic data for machine learning, and continues in this role to oversee avatars at Meta. Additionally, Lana's tenure at Pixar Animation Studios included being a Technical Director and later a Lead Technical Director, where leadership was provided to the crowds department for the feature film "Soul" while mentoring team members.
