Larry Zhang has extensive experience in software engineering, beginning with an internship at Microsoft Research Asia in 2005. Following this, Larry worked as a Software Engineer at National Instruments from 2009 to 2011 and then joined Microsoft as a Software Engineer II, focusing on Azure Stack storage and Windows Server Essentials from 2011 to 2016. After a period serving as Senior Software Engineer Team Lead since December 2018, currently leads the distributed infrastructure for Azure SQL DB at a massive scale. More recently, since August 2021, Larry has been a Software Engineer at Meta, serving as the tech lead for Advertiser Abuse in Business Integrity. Larry holds a Master’s degree in Computer Software and Theory from Fudan University and a Bachelor’s degree from Zhejiang University.
