Laura Trutoiu is an accomplished professional in the fields of computer graphics and robotics, holding a PhD in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University. Early experience includes research roles at the Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics and as an undergraduate researcher at the University of Utah. Following a period as a lab associate at Disney Research, Laura contributed to Industrial Light & Magic as an R&D intern. A notable tenure as a research scientist and postdoc at Oculus VR was followed by a position as lead computer scientist at Magic Leap. Laura has served in various roles at Meta, culminating in a current position as Senior Engineering Manager, after previously holding the title of Engineering Manager.
