Lauren Deason

Lauren Deason is a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in research, data analysis, and economic modeling. Lauren's career includes roles at various esteemed organizations, such as the International Food Policy Research Institute as an Associate Research Fellow, where Lauren developed a dynamic stochastic general equilibrium model, and at Meta as both a Data Scientist and currently a Machine Learning Engineer. Previous positions include working as a Consultant at The World Bank on water sector development projects in Yemen and as an Economist at the U.S. Census Bureau, where Lauren contributed to longitudinal datasets. Lauren holds a Master’s degree in Mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Maryland, complemented by a strong educational background in Applied Mathematics from the University of Virginia.
