Laurie Doyle

Laurie Doyle is a seasoned professional in the telecommunications and engineering sectors with extensive experience spanning several decades. Laurie began a career at the Qld. Electricity Generating Board as a Network Planning Engineer and Control Systems Engineer in 1976. After gaining further expertise as a Control Systems Engineer at Preece Ewbank Belford (1979-1982), Laurie held various significant positions at Alcatel from 1983 to 1993, including Project Manager and later Sales & Marketing Director of the Terrestrial Networks Division in Italy. Laurie's role at Alcatel-Lucent Submarine Networks from 2007 to 2010 encompassed several directorial positions, including Technical Marketing Director and Technical Proposals & Product Strategy Director for submarine networks. Currently, Laurie serves as Fiber Program Manager - Submarine at Meta since March 2019 and has been the Account Director for Asia-Pacific at Alcatel Submarine Networks from 2017 to 2019. Laurie holds an Honours Degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of Queensland, earned between 1971 and 1975.
