Lena Gunko

Lena Gunko is a seasoned expert in human rights and data protection, with significant experience in both the public and private sectors. From August 2018 to February 2020, Lena served as the Chief Human Rights Specialist and Leading Human Rights Specialist at the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner For Human Rights (NHRI), advocating for fundamental human rights and coordinating reporting to international bodies. Lena later held the position of Head of the Global Privacy Alignment Unit at the Data Protection Authority of Ukraine, focusing on aligning privacy regulations with GDPR. Lena's expertise continued at Deloitte as a Senior Digital Trust & Privacy Consultant, where strategic privacy compliance was a priority for global business enablement. Currently, Lena works as a Client Solutions Manager - Compliance Support Lead at Meta, emphasizing actionable guidance on complex regulatory requirements. Lena holds a Master of Laws (LLM) with honors from Kyiv University of Law and has also studied French at l'Institut Français d'Ukraine.
