Lena Pietsch

Lena Pietsch is an experienced communications professional with a robust background in policy communications and public affairs. Currently serving as VP Public Affairs at Meta since August 2022, Lena previously held the role of Director of Policy Communications at Meta from September 2019 to September 2022 and at Facebook from September 2015 to September 2019. Lena's earlier career includes serving as Deputy Director of Communications at 10 Downing Street from May 2010 to April 2015 and Press Secretary to the Leader of the Liberal Democrats from December 2008 to May 2010, alongside a role as Head of Media and Broadcast Media Manager. Academic qualifications include an MSc in History of International Relations from The London School of Economics and Political Science and a BA in History and Study of Religion from SOAS University of London.
