Lena Vanmali has extensive experience in competition and regulatory law, having begun her career as a Lawyer at Gilbert + Tobin from February 2011 to May 2016, eventually becoming a Senior Lawyer specializing in Competition and Regulation. Following this, Lena worked at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer as a Senior Associate and then as an Associate in Antitrust, Competition and Trade from May 2018 to December 2019. Currently, Lena serves as Associate General Counsel for Competition and Regulatory at Meta since September 2020. Lena holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) with First Class Honours and a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) from the University of Sydney, where education was completed between 2006 and 2010 for the LLB and 2006 to 2008 for the BCom.
