Li Yao

Li Yao is an accomplished research scientist with a diverse background in polymer science and materials development. With experience as a Research Assistant at Boston College, Li designed and synthesized various ligands and developed catalytic processes. At the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Li achieved significant advancements in block copolymer and metal hybrid composites, contributed to multi-disciplinary teams, and synthesized innovative materials for biomedical applications. Following a postdoctoral role at the University of Minnesota, Li continued to excel at 3M as a Senior Research Engineer, focusing on new material developments. Since January 2020, Li has been a Research Scientist at Meta, concentrating on the development of new technologies for future human-computer interaction. Li holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry/Polymer Science from Nanjing University, a Master's degree in Organic Chemistry from Boston College, and a PhD in Polymer Science and Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
