Liang Sun

Liang Sun has a robust background in research, machine learning, and natural language processing. With a PhD in Operations Research from The University of Texas at Austin, tenure as a Graduate Research Assistant involved research on syntax trees and algorithms for low-resource languages. Subsequent experience at Microsoft included work as an Applied Scientist focusing on machine learning applications in communication and collaboration, specifically in collaboration prediction and anomaly detection. Liang Sun also held the role of Senior Software Engineer in Natural Language Processing at Zoom Video Communications and continues to develop skills as a data scientist intern at Meta. Education includes a BS in Mathematics, Statistics, and Operations Research from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a BSc in Mathematics and Statistics from The University of Hong Kong.
