Ling Wang is a seasoned engineering leader with extensive experience in artificial intelligence and database technologies. Currently serving as a Senior Engineering Manager at Meta since August 2019, Ling Wang oversees a large engineering organization focused on developing AI platforms and core capabilities for Generative AI products and Reality Labs AI devices. Prior to Meta, Ling Wang held the position of Senior Engineering Manager and Technical Lead at Apple, where work involved leading a substantial team to create the multi-layer search index infrastructure for Siri Search. Ling Wang's earlier roles include Senior Software Engineer at Teradata Aster, contributing to big data analytics, and Software Engineer at IBM, specializing in DB2 UDB and relational query optimization. Ling Wang began a research career as an intern at IBM Almaden Research Center, proposing innovative solutions for business intelligence in data integration. Ling Wang holds a PhD in Database Research from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a Master’s degree from Tianjin University.
