Lingchao Mao

Lingchao Mao is a Research Scientist at Meta since August 2025, specializing in AI for content integrity. Prior to this role, Lingchao served as a Research Assistant at the Georgia Institute of Technology from January 2021 to September 2025, focusing on machine learning models for biomedical applications, notably in tumor prediction, headache recovery prognosis, Alzheimer's detection, and liver tumor segmentation. Lingchao's experience includes a Software Engineer Internship at Meta, where project work involved enhancing ranking models through data augmentation, and prior roles at North Carolina State University, Häfele America Co., and FORT Capital Resources, which encompassed data analysis, process optimization, and machine learning pipeline development. Lingchao holds a PhD in Machine Learning and a Master’s in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology, as well as a dual bachelor's degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering and Statistics from North Carolina State University.
