Mackenzie Smith

Mackenzie Smith possesses a diverse background in educational leadership and operations management, highlighted by experiences in various roles at Teach For America from 2017 to 2018, where responsibilities included directing placement and licensure, managing program operations, and overseeing training institutes. Prior to this, Mackenzie served as an 8th Grade English Teacher and Teach For America Corps Member at St. Helena Parish School District from 2007 to 2009, and as a Manager at The Book Nook & Java Shop from 2009 to 2010. Currently, Mackenzie is a Program Manager at Meta, beginning in January 2024. Academic qualifications include a Master of Arts in Political Theory from The Catholic University of America and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, International Studies, and History from Hope College, alongside a teacher certification from TNTP - The New Teacher Project.
