Manuel Neves

Manuel Neves is an experienced Optical Network Engineer at Meta since September 2025, with a prior position as a Scientific Researcher at Instituto de Telecomunicações from June 2017 to September 2025. Manuel also contributed as a Researcher PhD Student at various institutions, including NICT from January 2024 to June 2024, TurinTech AI from May 2023 to September 2023, and Huawei Paris Research Center from February 2022 to August 2022. In 2017, Manuel volunteered at Roboplan - Robotics Experts, where development of a computer application for an ABB industrial robot was undertaken, utilizing C++, Microsoft Visual Studio, and Serial Communication. Manuel holds an Integrated Master’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from Universidade de Aveiro, completed in 2020.
