Marc Whitten currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Cruise, a position held since June 2024. Prior to this, Whitten was President of Unity Create from February 2021 to June 2024 and Vice President of Entertainment Devices and Services at Amazon from June 2016 to February 2021. Whitten also held the role of Chief Product Officer at Sonos, Inc. from April 2014 to April 2016 and served as Corporate Vice President and Chief Product Officer for Xbox at Microsoft from January 1997 to March 2014. Early in the career, Whitten gained experience as a Co-Op/Intern at IBM between 1994 and 1996. Whitten earned a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from the University of North Texas from 1992 to 1996.
