Marcus Hodges is a seasoned security professional with extensive experience in various roles, currently serving as a Security Partner and Deputy CISO for Meta's Augmented Reality organizations since March 2019, overseeing the security of AR glasses for approximately 3,000 personnel. Previously, Marcus contributed as a board member for the ioXt Alliance, collaborating with industry leaders to set IoT security standards and chairing the IoT Privacy Extension working group. As Director of Research at Security Innovation from 2007 to 2018, Marcus led multiple security research initiatives, mentored projects, and built a hardware hacking lab. Throughout a diverse career in security engineering, including roles such as Principal Security Engineer and Engineering Manager, Marcus has demonstrated expertise in security assessment, secure design methodologies, and cultivating knowledge-sharing practices. Marcus holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Washington.
