Mario Luo

Mario Luo has over 20 years of experience in the technology sector, focusing on artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data infrastructure. At IBM, Mario led advanced research projects that developed innovative algorithms and computational models. Transitioning to Netflix, Mario initially served as a Senior Software Engineer, designing the core recommendation engine, before advancing to Engineering Manager, where oversight of experimentation and data infrastructure was paramount in enhancing user experience. Currently, as Director of Applied AI at Meta, Mario leads initiatives integrating AI across various product domains. Mario holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from New York University.
