Mark Saroufim

Mark Saroufim is a software engineer at Meta since April 2021, where responsibilities include training a large language model to write kernels. Previously, Mark served as a machine learning engineer at Graphcore, focusing on drug discovery and healthcare, distributed systems, and graph neural networks from May 2020 to March 2021. Mark founded Yuri.ai from June 2018 to May 2020. Prior experience includes working as an applied scientist at Microsoft, where deployment of a deep part of speech tagger on Outlook was achieved, alongside program management tasks involving Outlook SOC compliance and internal telemetry. Mark began the professional journey as a graduate teaching assistant at UC San Diego in 2013. Academically, Mark holds a Master's degree in Computer Science with a focus on Artificial Intelligence from UC San Diego and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the American University of Beirut.
