Mathew Wheatley

Mathew Wheatley is an accomplished software engineer and mechanical engineer with extensive experience in backend software development and propulsion engineering. Mathew began as a teaching assistant at the University of Maryland Baltimore County and later transitioned to roles at GE Aviation, where responsibilities included the implementation and testing of control systems for aircraft engines. Mathew contributed to various projects in propulsion engineering at BLUE ORIGIN, focusing on turbopump assemblies, and later took on a backend software developer position at Shopify, innovating user interfaces and enhancing software performance. Currently at Meta, Mathew applies a robust technical skill set developed through a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering and a certificate in Software Engineering from Flatiron School.
