Mathieu Vedel is an experienced optical and imaging engineer with a strong background in camera systems and optical testing. From 2009 to 2014, Mathieu worked at Bossa Nova Technologies, initially as a Camera Imaging Engineer, where the design of a novel full-Stokes polarization camera was achieved, followed by a role as Lead Camera Imaging Engineer, focusing on advanced imaging systems for the cosmetic industry. Subsequently, Mathieu held roles at Amazon Lab126 as a Sr Camera Test Engineer, developing manufacturing test and calibration solutions for cameras and optics, and has been serving as the Lead Optical Test Engineer at Meta since November 2021. Mathieu's career also includes an early position as a Junior Optical Engineer at Imagine Optic, contributing to the development of wavefront sensors. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Optics, Photonics Sciences and Engineering from the Institut d'Optique Graduate School.
