Matt Benz

Matt Benz is a seasoned hardware security professional with extensive experience in leading teams and managing security verification processes. At Qualcomm from August 2007 to July 2021, Matt held the position of Sr Staff Hardware Security Engineer and Manager, where responsibilities included overseeing a team to achieve project milestones and leading the verification for FIPS and EAL 4+ certification of integrated mobile secure processing elements. Currently, Matt serves as the Hardware Security Verification Lead at Meta, focusing on security assurance and verification for Meta Reality Labs hardware. Matt holds both an M.S. and a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
