Matt D. has developed a strong background in data science and software engineering through various roles in prominent institutions. Starting as an Undergraduate Research Fellow at Boston College, Matt worked on a bioinformatics project under Prof. Michelle Meyer. Matt continued to enhance technical expertise as a Senior Software Engineer at Mass General Hospital, focusing on research data engineering, and at Optum, where responsibilities included building data pipelines and working with Big Data technologies. In addition, Matt completed a Technology Development Program at Optum. Currently, as a Data Scientist at Meta, Matt is involved in defining and productionizing key performance indicators and operational metrics, utilizing A/B testing for effective launch decisions. Matt holds a Master of Science in Data Science from Northeastern University and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Boston College.
