Matt Speed is an experienced engineer with a strong background in digital signal processing and software development. Matt began a career at Dolby Laboratories as a Student Placement, where responsibilities included the daily operation of Dolby ScreenTalk Accessible Cinema technology and mastering subtitle and audio-description content. Following this experience, Matt served as a DSP Engineer at Allen & Heath Ltd from April 2012 to November 2015, before progressing to the role of Senior Embedded DSP Engineer at Focusrite Audio Engineering Limited from November 2015 to January 2024. Currently, Matt is a Software Engineer at Meta since February 2024. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electronic Engineering from the University of York and a Master's Degree from KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
