Matthew Childers has extensive experience in environmental health and safety, having held various roles in reputable organizations. At BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc., Matthew served as Manager, Environment Health Safety & Sustainability from October 2016 to January 2021. Matthew then joined Facebook Reality Labs as a Health & Safety Specialist from January 2021 to September 2022. Prior to these roles, Matthew worked at Genentech as Senior Specialist in Environmental Health & Safety between May 2013 and October 2016 and at Clean Harbors as InSite Compliance Manager and InSite Chemist from November 2009 to May 2013. Matthew started in the field as a Water Conservation Intern at the City of Santa Rosa in 2007 and has also held positions at Marin Municipal Water District. Currently, Matthew serves as Environment, Health and Safety Manager at Meta since August 2022. Matthew holds a B.A. in Environmental Studies from Sonoma State University.
