Matthew Edwards has a background in electrical and computer engineering, having obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from The University of Texas at Austin with a GPA of 3.82. From August 2015 to December 2016, Matthew served as a tutor for Freshman and Sophomore level mathematics and also worked as a student researcher, developing software to simulate experimental DRAM memory controller architecture. In summer 2017, Matthew interned at Applied Research Laboratories and later gained experience as a software engineer at GenXComm Inc. from May 2018 to August 2020, focusing on embedded TCP/IP and firmware development, as well as research software for novel photonic systems. Following this, Matthew worked at Meta, where responsibilities included telecommunications software development as a software engineer from August 2020 to February 2022, and currently holds the position of senior software engineer specializing in distributed AI systems.
