Matthew Kotvis has extensive experience in audio engineering, particularly in digital signal processing (DSP) for conferencing systems. At Biamp Systems from May 2017 to March 2022, Matthew served as Principal Engineer, focusing on the audio conferencing soundbar and enhancing the audio framework for multicore processing. Prior to that, from June 2007 to May 2017 at Biamp, Matthew was a Lead DSP Engineer, where innovative techniques for beam-tracking microphone arrays and algorithms for echo cancellation and noise suppression led to several patents. Matthew's career began at Biamp as an Audio DSP Engineer, where the design and implementation of a proprietary Acoustic Echo Cancellation algorithm were achieved. Currently, Matthew is employed as an Applied Scientist specializing in AR Audio Algorithms at Meta, having completed a Master of Science in Music Engineering from the University of Miami and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
