Matthew Mitchell

Matthew Mitchell has over two decades of experience in optical systems engineering and architecture. Matthew began his career at Lucent - Bell Labs as a Member of Technical Staff before moving to Corvis Corporation in a similar role. Subsequently, Matthew held various leadership positions at Infinera, including Vice President of Optical Systems Architecture and Senior Director of the Optical Systems Group. Since April 2018, Matthew has been serving as Director of Optical Network Engineering at Meta. Matthew holds a BS in Electrical Engineering and Physics from Clarkson University and both a Ph.D. and MS in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University.
