Max Newman

Max Newman is a highly skilled engineer with extensive experience in mechanical and aerospace engineering. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Andrews Cooper, from August 2022 to March 2025, Max contributed significant expertise in managing production runs for complex devices. Prior to this role, Max worked at Commonwealth Technology, where responsibilities included leading a production schedule and budget for a substantial project. Additional experience includes positions as a System Engineer II at Electric Boat, where engineering calculations for HVAC systems were developed, and multiple roles at the University of Virginia, including Undergraduate Research Assistant, Grader, and Assistant, focused on conducting detailed analyses and assisting in academic settings. Currently, Max holds the position of Opto Mechanical Engineer at Meta, beginning in March 2025.
