Maximilian Chen has extensive experience in public policy and international relations, having held significant positions across various organizations. Chen served as a Policy and Legal Assistant at the Taipei City Government, where contributions were made to the administrative appeal legal system. As a Foreign Service Officer with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Taiwan, representation of Taiwan's interests in international negotiations occurred across multiple critical policy areas. Chen further advanced the agenda at the Office of the President as a Special Assistant, led the International Affairs Division of the New Taipei City Government, and is currently the Head of Public Policy at Meta (Facebook) Taiwan, driving engagement in key tech policy areas. Additionally, Chen serves as a Governor and Supervisor at AmCham Taiwan and Co-Chairs the Digital Economy Committee, advocating for industry issues at both local and international levels. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree from National Taiwan University and executive studies from the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna, among others.
