Mei Gao

Mei Gao is an experienced data science professional with a strong background in leadership and analytical strategy. Currently serving as a Senior Data Science Manager at Meta since January 2022, Mei leads a team of approximately 20 data scientists focusing on the Business Interface product to support small and medium businesses. Previously, Mei held the position of Data Science Manager and Data Scientist at Meta, where leadership was demonstrated over a 15-member team on the Communities Product. Earlier experience includes a Data Science Fellowship at Insight Data Science, where Mei built a personalized restaurant recommendation web application and developed data processing techniques. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Peking University, a Master's degree in Statistics, and a PhD in Environmental Science, both from the University of California, Los Angeles, with a notable 4.0 GPA in graduate studies.
