Melissa Joyce has extensive legal experience in both international human rights and product law. Beginning as a Judicial Intern at the United Nations International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals and later at UNHCR and REDRESS, Melissa developed a strong foundation in international law. Following various legal internships, including at Kaplan, O'Sullivan & Friedman, LLP and LexisNexis, Melissa progressed to leadership roles within STR as Director of Contracts & Legal Counsel, eventually serving as Vice President of Contracts & Legal and Vice President of Legal. Currently, Melissa holds the position of Associate General Counsel, Product Legal at Meta, after serving as Lead Counsel in the same department. Academically, Melissa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science & Philosophy from Boston College, a Juris Doctor from Northeastern University School of Law, and has participated in specialized programs on human rights law at American University and the University of Oxford.
