Mert Ustun

Mert Ustun is an experienced engineer specializing in digital design and computer vision architecture, with a strong background in hardware system design. Ustun began with an internship at TUBITAK focused on microcontroller-based digital systems, followed by positions at Aselsan and Intel, where responsibilities included RTL design for flagship microprocessors. Ustun later worked at Apple as a Senior ASIC Design Engineer, concentrating on clock generation and performance management in various IPs, before joining Facebook as a Senior Digital Design Engineer, developing micro-architecture for computer vision IPs. Currently, Ustun serves as a Computer Vision & ISP Architect at Meta, where the focus includes transforming algorithms into hardware accelerators and collaborating on next-generation computing devices. Ustun holds a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor's degree from Middle East Technical University, with an impressive academic record.
