Miaojiang (MJ) Deng is a skilled software engineer with extensive experience in data infrastructure and batch processing technologies. Currently employed at Meta since October 2018, MJ contributes to the enhancement of the batch data compute engine using innovative technologies, specifically focusing on Apache Spark. Prior to this role, MJ interned at Alibaba Cloud in June 2014, where tasks included developing a batch workflow task scheduler for a high-capacity data platform, and worked at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory from January to August 2018 on the F Prime open-source project in collaboration with Carnegie Mellon University. MJ holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Sichuan University and a Master's degree in Software Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
