Michael Gill is an accomplished researcher and software engineer with extensive experience in data science and applied research. Currently serving as a Software Engineering Manager at Meta since August 2024, Michael leads the Incrementality Science team, focusing on statistical and machine learning models for advertising metrics. Prior roles include Lead Research Scientist at Facebook from October 2018 to February 2025, where the focus was on privacy regulations within the Central Applied Science team. Additional experience encompasses positions as a Research Fellow at The Governance Lab, a Graduate Affiliate at the Institute for Quantitative Social Science, and a Moore-Sloan Data Science Fellow at NYU Center for Data Science. Michael holds a PhD from Harvard University and a BA with honors from Columbia University, alongside previous experience as an Evaluation Specialist at the International Finance Corporation.
