Michael Hurst

Michael Hurst is an accomplished Mechanical Design Engineer with extensive experience in robotics, manufacturing, and process engineering. Hurst's career began with an internship at Robotic Research, LLC, focusing on mechanical enclosure design for autonomous robots. Hurst further developed skills at Intel Corporation, managing projects related to lithographic processes and substrate handling for server technology. A tenure at Intuitive Surgical involved the research and development of tools for robot-assisted surgery. Currently, Hurst works at Meta, specializing in AR/VR technologies, including haptic displays and human-computer interaction. Hurst holds a Master of Science degree from the University of Pennsylvania and dual Bachelor of Science degrees from Morehouse College and the Georgia Institute of Technology.
