Michael Ishigaki

Michael Ishigaki is an accomplished design leader with extensive experience in product design, particularly in augmented reality (AR) and wearable technologies. Currently serving as the Director of Product Design for AR Glasses at Meta, Michael oversees the Core UX design organization and is the Design Responsible Individual for Project Nazare. Previously, Michael held multiple roles at Meta, including Product Design Manager for AR Glasses and Director of Product Design for Wearables, focusing on the future of Meta's wearable devices with an emphasis on AI and AR. At Google, Michael led design and prototyping teams for various AR and virtual reality projects, including Google AR Glasses and the Pixel Watch, contributing significantly to several groundbreaking initiatives. Michael's career began as a Software Engineer at Seminaire, and further educational credentials include a BA with honors in Applied Mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley.
