Michael Leonardi

Michael Leonardi is an accomplished electrical engineer with extensive experience in hardware engineering. Michael began professional career at Future Concepts I.S., Inc. from September 2005 to April 2008 as an Electrical Engineer. Following that role, Michael served as a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of California, Riverside from May 2007 to June 2008. Subsequently, Michael worked at AeroVironment from April 2008 to June 2013 and then joined Apple as a Hardware Systems Design Engineer from June 2013 to October 2016, where responsibilities included designing and integrating hardware for the iPhone system. Michael has been with Meta since April 2021, initially as a Senior Hardware Engineer focusing on Virtual Reality, and later assuming the role of Hardware Engineering Lead for Smart Glasses in July 2022. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona and the University of California, Riverside, respectively.
