Michael Livanos

Michael Livanos, Ph.D., has a strong background in computer science and AI research, demonstrated through roles at Renkert Oil as a Summer Intern, where communication was enhanced via a comprehensive training manual, and the Neuromodulation Research and Technology Lab, where significant contributions included leading the development of a neurosurgical planning tool and automating finite element analysis processes. At Davidson Lab, UC Davis, a focus on fair and explainable AI resulted in six published papers, with four as first author, alongside the efficient training of large-scale models using advanced techniques. Currently serving as an AI Research Scientist at Meta, Michael holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of California, Davis.
