Michael Newton

Michael Newton possesses extensive experience in technology leadership across prominent financial and technology organizations. At the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), Michael served as CIO for Corporate Technology and later as Head of Shared Services, overseeing a division of approximately 450 people focused on communications, marketing, and customer-facing portals. Prior roles include significant positions at Citi, where Michael headed OTC Client Clearing IT and Trade Processing Services in EMEA, and Deutsche Bank, where responsibilities encompassed swaps trade processing and market platforms. Currently, Michael holds a senior management position at Meta, concentrating on data privacy initiatives. Academic qualifications include a 2:1 (Hons) degree in Computing & Information Systems from Goldsmiths College, University of London, and an MSc in Software Engineering from Oxford University.
