Michael Seltzer has extensive experience in research and management roles in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning. Starting as an Applications Engineer at Teradyne from September 1996 to August 1998, Michael moved on to Microsoft, where tenure lasted from October 2003 to February 2016, advancing from Senior Researcher to Principal Researcher. Following a brief period at Facebook from January 2018 to October 2018 as an Applied Research Scientist and Tech Lead Manager, Michael assumed the role of Applied Science Manager in Facebook AI. From March 2021 to August 2023, Michael served as Director of AI at Meta, currently holding the position of Senior Director, AI at Meta since August 2023. Michael's academic background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Brown University and both a Master of Science and a Doctor of Philosophy from Carnegie Mellon University in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
