Michael Smith

Michael Smith is an experienced Research Science Manager specializing in Demography and Survey Science at Meta since January 2020. Prior to that role, Michael served as a Research Scientist at Meta and held various positions in academia and the private sector, including Vice President of Research at Global Strategy Group and Teaching Assistant at Columbia University. Michael's expertise encompasses statistical analysis, research methodology, technical communication, and data management, complemented by a strong academic foundation with a Ph.D. in Political Science from Columbia University, a Master’s degree from the University of Chicago, and a Bachelor’s degree from McGill University.
